| Sonstiges | This is an introductory course on phonetics and phonology. The primary emphasis will be to give you tools to help you to understand and pronounce English as perfectly as possible, though some basic theory is necessary to give you those tools. We will look at and discuss various aspects of phonetics and phonology, e.g. the organs of speech, the manner and place of articulation, intonation, rhythm, and connected speech. You will also be required to learn how to transcribe English phonetically. |
