Beschreibung: This block course introduces first-principles electronic-structure calculations. Lectures provide theoretical background onmethods and materials. Practical experience will be gathered during hands-on tutorials using our CP-PAW code. In the secondweek, participants will perform a guided self-study project and present their findings in a seminar. The course targets physicistsand chemists during their masters or PhD studies. The course is organized in cooperation with CRC 1073 "Atomic scale control of energy conversion" (< http://www.uni-goettingen.de/de/437142.html >) and the Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing PC2. Information can be found under https://handson.cppaw.org The number of participants is limited. Registration on the external site https://events.uni-paderborn.de/e/cppaw2024 is required. The course will take place at Goettingen University.
