We will assign seats to the seminar shortly after the preliminary meeting based on both, the order of your registration (in StudIP) and whether you still require a seminar to complete your course of study. We will announce topics and discuss all details during the preliminary meeting. |
Learning organisation | This course will address questions related to gender issues in developing countries. A particular focus will be on interlinkages between gender, institutions, labor market issues, as well as monetary and non-monetary development outcomes. Seminar papers will be concerned with questions such as: What do we mean by female empowerment and why do we care about this? What do we know about the relationship between gender and development outcomes? How are gender and governance interrelated? What are determinants of female labor force participation and how does it interact with economic growth? How do strategies look like to boost female empowerment and agency? What is the state of gender equality in different regions of the world and how can we measure that? |
