This course will discuss several concepts and techniques regarding statistical physics for systems in equilibrium or away from equilibrium. Specific contents are: - General fundaments and quantities of statistical physics, such as correlation functions - Important tools for treatment of stochastic processes, e.g., Langevin- and Fokker Planck equations - Linear response theory, including the fluctuation dissipation theorem - Path integral formalisms for classical and quantum-statistical processes - Applications from modern research topics, such as transport in nanoscopic systems |
